Real Talk
Fashion as we know it is a hot mess.
Let’s change that.
We buy, we trash and we make more stuff, and that’s how we’ve been doing things since the dawn of time.
While it made sense when we owned only 6 items in our lifetimes,
in this day and age, we keep different outfits to suit every little aspect of our busy and unpredictable lives.
Our attitudes towards clothing have changed so why should we stick to an outdated system that encourages us to horde & trash perfectly usable clothing?

Real Truths
The ‘good’ clothing paradox
There are two fundamental issues that come hand in hand and are the biggest blockers of progress within the industry:
Hard Truth #1

Let’s face it, we all get sick of our clothes eventually
… perhaps a little sooner than we should.
Sometimes it’s just easier to grab that dress on sale than to buy an ‘investment’ piece, whilst ignoring all the associated costs with ‘going cheap’.
Hard Truth #2
Supporting positive brands can be quite costly and unattainable

To us good clothing is either being sustainable, ethical, local, or innovative. However, this can come at a high cost and be regarded as a ‘Luxury’ item
…. something us common folk will have very few opportunities to buy.

Real Change
We sell good clothes and make them easy to share
By facilitating swaps with high-quality clothing, we can make good clothing more affordable for everyone in the long term, without compromising independent businesses and local designers.
This helps reduce the demand for mass-produced and make long-lasting clothes more appealing.
We can also encourage our brands to adopt good design practices and open up a whole new range of opportunities never before seen in fashion.

Real People
Good clothing at the heart of the community
While every garment we sell plays a part in our larger vision, it’s really the amazing people who shop and swap who will make this dream happen.
Part of making clothes swapping a great experience is having a mutual respect for your fellow swappers.
So take care of your products and be open to your peers. You’ll be well on your way to helping make the planet waste-free.
